I was pleasantly surprised at a few things:
1) The convenience;
2) The ease of preparing the ravioli;
3) The taste; and
4) The calories.
First, preparation is as easy as opening the package and sticking the ravioli into boiling water. Adding a little bit of olive oil to prevent sticking is recommended on the package.
The only drawback I found with the crab ravioli is that the filling is a little salty. I would recommend not adding any added salt to the water and maybe hold off on the olive oil. Stirring constantly should avoid the sticking.
The ravioli doesn't take long at all to cook. In fact, once it is in the boiling water, it takes about 5-7 minutes.
The finished product is really good. I only added a little bit of olive oil on top of mine (which may have added to the salty flavor) and ate it plain, without sauce. Adding your own sauce, or a packaged sauce will add flavor - but be cautious of the salt!
Considering the ease of preparing the ravioli, I am excited to try their other flavors: Butternut Squash Agnolotti, Chicken Marsala Ravioli, Spicy Beef & Sausage Ravioli, Wild Mushroom Agnolotti and Shrimp Scampi Ravioli. YUM! For half a package of the Crab Ravioli, the calorie count was only 300. Not bad! There are two servings per container.
Overall, I would rate this product a 4 out of 5. The only drawback for me was the salty flavor of the filling.
